Caramel Icing

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Dark Brown Sugar Packed
  • ½ Cup Milk
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • 1 ½ Cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla

Instructions

  1. 1Combine brown sugar, milk, butter, and salt in a medium saucepan; bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring constantly.
  2. 2Reduce heat and simmer until slightly thick, about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. 3Remove from heat.
  4. 4Add the powdered sugar and vanilla; beat with a mixer until smooth and slightly warm.
  5. 5Cool 5 minutes.
  6. 6Icing will thicken as it cools.
