Cheesy au Gratin Potatoes
Ingredients
- 6 Potatoes Medium, peeled and cut into ⅛" slices
- ¼ Cup Butter
- 1 Onion Medium
- 1 tbsp Flour
- 1 tsp Salt
- ½ tsp Black Pepper
- 2 Cup Milk
- 2 Cup Shredded Cheese
- ¼ Cup Bread Crumbs
- Paprika To taste
Instructions
- 1Heat oven to 375°
- 2Peel and cut potatoes into ⅛" slices
- 3Melt butter in a 2 qt. saucepan over medium heat
- 4Cook onions in butter about 2 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender
- 5Stir in flour, salt, and pepper
- 6Cook stirring constantly, until boiling; remove from heat
- 7Stir in milk and 1½ cups cheese
- 8Heat to boiling stirring constantly
- 9Boil and stir 1 minute
- 10Spread potatoes in ungreased Casserole (1½ qt dish)
- 11Pour cheese over potatoes
- 12Bake uncovered, 1 hour
- 13Mix remaining cheese and bread crumbs; spread over potatoes
