Crispy Fried Dill Pickles
Ingredients
- 1 Cup All-Purpose Flour
- 1 Cup Z-Mix
- 1 tsp Baking Powder
- 1 Egg
- 1 tsp Paprika
- ½ tsp Black Pepper
- ½ tsp Dried Dill optional
- Dill Pickle Slices dried on paper towels
- 1 Cup Panko Bread Crumbs more if needed
- Oil for frying, heated to 360-370°
Instructions
- 1Preheat oil to 360-370°.
- 2Combine all batter ingredients and stir until smooth. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
- 3Dab pickle slices on paper towel to dry. Place about 1 cup of panko bread crumbs in a bowl (add more if needed). If they get wet they don't stick so it's best to work in small batches.
- 4Dip each pickle slice in the wet batter and then gently toss in the bread crumbs, let sit for a minute or so, this will allow the crumbs to stick better.
- 5Fry in small batches for 3-4 minutes or until brown and crispy.
- 6Serve with ranch dip.
