Crispy Fried Dill Pickles

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 Cup Z-Mix
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • ½ tsp Black Pepper
  • ½ tsp Dried Dill optional
  • Dill Pickle Slices dried on paper towels
  • 1 Cup Panko Bread Crumbs more if needed
  • Oil for frying, heated to 360-370°
  • For Serving

    • Ranch Dip for serving

Instructions

  1. 1Preheat oil to 360-370°.
  2. 2Combine all batter ingredients and stir until smooth. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  3. 3Dab pickle slices on paper towel to dry. Place about 1 cup of panko bread crumbs in a bowl (add more if needed). If they get wet they don't stick so it's best to work in small batches.
  4. 4Dip each pickle slice in the wet batter and then gently toss in the bread crumbs, let sit for a minute or so, this will allow the crumbs to stick better.
  5. 5Fry in small batches for 3-4 minutes or until brown and crispy.
  6. 6Serve with ranch dip.
