1Preheat oven to 375°. Melt butter in a 9x13 baking dish
2Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and milk. Pour the batter into the melted butter in the baking dish. Do not stir
3Spread the peaches, and their liquid, evenly around the pan. Do not stir. Sprinkle the peaches with the cinnamon, if using.
4Bake until the crust turns golden brown, about 30 or 40 minutes. Allow to cool for about 10 minutes before serving
Notes
If using fresh peaches, use 4 cups fresh peaches sliced, 1 cup sugar, 2 TBS lemon juice, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1 tsp baking powder. Cook on a medium saucepan until peaches are tender. Cool and pour over batter.
