Stuffed Steak Rolls
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp Oil Olive, Canola, etc.
- 3 tbsp Garlic Chopped
- 2 Sweet Onions Chopped
- 2 Cup Mushrooms Thinly sliced
- ½ tbsp Salt
- ½ tbsp Black Pepper
- 2 lb Flank Steak
- Additional Salt To taste
- Additional Black Pepper To taste
- 1 Baby Spinach 7 oz package
- 4 Provolone Cheese Slices
Instructions
- 1Preheat oven to 350°.
- 2Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan over medium high heat.
- 3Combine garlic, onion, mushrooms, salt, and pepper in the pan.
- 4Cook until almost all the moisture has evaporated and the onions are caramelizing, 15 to 20 minutes.
- 5Remove from heat and set aside.
- 6Lay the flank steak on a cutting board.
- 7Spoon the mushroom onion mixture on top, spreading it evenly across the steak.
- 8Sprinkle the spinach on top, followed by slices of provolone.
- 9Press down lightly to compress the spinach.
- 10Starting at the bottom of the flank steak, roll it up tightly, making sure the grain of the meat underneath.
- 11Use toothpicks to secure the steak roll.
- 12Slice the steak roll into 6 equal slices.
- 13Heat the remaining oil in a pan over high heat.
- 14Sear the steak rolls on one side for 1-2 minutes, then flip.
- 15Sear the second side for about one minute, then bake for 10-15 minutes.
- 16Remove toothpicks, then serve.
